Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and former New York Times Executive Editor Max Frankel is co-teaching a course with former Dean David Rudenstine entitled "The First Amendment, the Press and the Democratic Order." As Chief of the New York Times Washington Bureau, Frankel was a key figure in the decision to publish what was popularly known as the Pentagon Papers, which led to one of the most important and extraordinary First Amendment cases in American history. Rudenstine wrote the definitive history of the Pentagon Papers case "The Day the Presses Stopped."
